so, i rented odst a few days ago, and was frankly quite amazed
for the so called mini campaign, they manage to capture a much better human element, you are people, not gods on the battlefield, and as such your individual stories affect the global field much better than some random supersoldier killin everything.
but inversely i tried the multiplayer again after all these years of abstinence and found the opposite. bungie supports a field where to simply recapture your flag requires a period of control. which means one lone asshole can in fact take flag, drop flag, kill defenders, take flag, win......
the complete opposite of team gameplay....

i make this post for few reasons
1. http://ocremix.org/ is one of the best collections of VG remix i have found, the site is mildly confusing, but the remix on one winged angel is not to be missed
2. crap, forgot the rest.... the quickened edge of thought sliced my imagined self to ribbons. speaking of which i recently bought a santoku knife as my first straight blade knife, love the thing, cuts shit so easy.
i guess, its just that no matter how my life changes it really stays the same... if to live an interesting life is a curse, then i would welcome such destruction. they say ignorance is bliss, but bliss is a shallow happiness. happiness without the knowledge of what sorrow is, for sorrow defines joy, gives it meaning.

one post per year, that seems manageable. tho i am gonna break my sweet 52 week record since i posted last. by the by, food poisoning sucks, thanksgiving is excellent(especially getting leftovers) and work is dull(as usual)

it is snowing, the white blanket encourages me to remain inside.
mmmm.... tea is delicious. the tastyness of the chai blended with the warming effects of heated water.

sorry, life seems inexplicable boring at times. like when you stay inside because only an idiot would go into snow to relieve boredom.

i am beginning to wonder if i ever did like classical music when i was a kid. mainly i state this because, due to a video game(Eternal Sonata) i have recently started listening to it again, beginning with the works of chopin and finding others as i go along. some of the pieces i recognize, but what is new is how much more i enjoy them now. chopin's prelude in d flat is simply stunning. though, figuring out which song is which makes my head ache, thank the heavens for wikipedia. seriously, how is it such a useful compedium of human knowledge come into existence and remain capable. its implications are frightening. but it allowed me to learn about composers i didnt even know about.

so, i went to kiel, chilled with the old skool friends, then, on the way home, got stuck in a ditch.
fuck
i blame the accident on the road on the only path i knew home. fucking cop waved us to go some other path, a path i was unfamiliar with, made me lost, tryed turning around in a driveway, fell into ditch, needed to call tow truck, am now $126 poorer, and i was already broke, fuck, sonnfa fuck, its all fucked up...
never fucking leaving major highways again, dont care how far outta the way it is, if i have to drive all the way to fucking chilton for a non-backroad path, ill fucking drive to chilton. hope my car aint damaged, wonder where the gas smell came from, hopefully just diesel fumes on my clothes that i didnt notice till i got inside, wonder why steering was funny at first, thinking(hoping) that since it felt better as time went on that it was just off due to snow accumulation, rambling cause of distorted thought patterns, wish i could just teleport places.
*breath*
this world isnt very good at making capable people who can adapt to changing circumstances.
more proof that we need revolution, to restore the lost abilities of man.

ever get the feeling that you life is out of control and you simply are accustomed to the spin? i think i lost control over a year ago now, maybe i never had it in the first place, i dunno. maybe im just too weepy or something, maybe i need to find something better to brood upon when im at work.
as related but not connected work brooding.
i am against the idea of vampirism, as in, i would never, if given a choice, choose it.
the trade of one life, full of joy and sorrow, for an eternity of being cold and alone, just another nightmare in the dark places of the world.

for the first time ever, i have had fun playing Halo 2 online, i think the partying with irl friends helped. i was called the worst halo 2 player ever. heh, i find stuff like that greatly humorous, mainly cause i managed to kill that guy twice in the match, and he was more than 20 ranks higher than me. noobzor hatorz. i didnt even shoot people in the back like the other irl bryan i know.
